Does that include hosted ?

With regards to your 'refreshments', does that mean that v0 does not get changed (except for perhaps the occasional backport made by someone else, or yourself) until a new 'refreshment' is being made by you ?

I ask because i would like to know if there is still any purpose with downloading v0 nightly's (hosted or native) until a new 'refreshment' is being released. e.g. if nothing changed in between 'refreshments' then i wonder why bother updating.

@Yanosh

With two years of changes, it it hard to say which files to update. I'd suggest doing a clean installation, otherwise you can have random problems.

Thanks. I need to refresh my SYS: partition, because the last IcAROS update doesn't works as it should. I don't want to install the updated nightly, so here are some questions:

1) Is the old GRUB compatible with the one in the nightly?

2) Which files I must copy from arch? If I'm not wrong, one of the files is sort of "hard coded" into the cylinders of the partition. So can I copy only the kernel files?

3) Should instead copy only the same files updated from the last IcAROS update?

The link in my post is to the code repository. You can access it using guest/guest credentials. If you want the binary builds, just use the ABIv0 download page:

Hello Everyone,

The refreshed ABIv0 system (the one that is the core of Icaros 2.2 Preview) has now been made public. The code branch is available here:

https://svn.aros.org/svn/aros/branches/ABI_V0-20161228

and the nightly ABIv0 builds have been reconfigured to use it.

What does this refresh give you? It makes most of the improvements and fixes that happen between December 2014 and December 2016 available to all users of current stable version of AROS.

If you have questions, please let me know.
