potentially all x86 computers are compatible, then for the network card, sound and graphics you can use the pci and pci-e slot.

The Black list from this computer and not the Aros machine. Franko or helge, I guess I do not know helge. My bets are on Franko. I was able to go on amigaworld.net for a while. :)
I know the sound works but will have to retrieve a sound card from storage.
Thanks for the information.

Hi,

Assuming the same motherboard was used outside the US

Support AC97 Audio CODEC. RealTek ALC658C 6-channel audio CODEC. Realtek RTL810L(D ... ASUS A8AE-LE (Amberine/AmberineM) Motherboard
Though the compaq system mtherboard pdf mentions ALC808.

So you could try the rtl8139 and rtl8169 to see if you have success.

You may be out of luck with the audio though, not heard of anyone using the 658C (sounds like a variant).

Do you know who has the record - helge or franko ?

Jeff

Yes that should be fine

Do note though that 250 GB is a bit too big for the file-system used by AROS. If i remember correctly there is a 128 GB or 120GB size limit (or something around that number).

AC'97 sound on that machine is most likely supported. I was unable to determine what network chip is in there (so you might be out of luck there).

Also the default gfx chipset seem not supported by aros (but you already mentioned that).

Just give it a go. Try to avoid having to write a cd-rom or similar, try sd-card or usb instead. You can use another computer (Virtual machine, boot aros in there and write to USB pendrive or sd-card (the latter is a bit more complicated).

Hello.
I have an HP a1330n tower. The socket is 939 with a single core processor.
I want to install Icaros Desktop on it.
It has a 250 GB HDD installed.
Is a 250 GB sata HDD ok for this installation?
All it needed is a Nvidia video card.
Thanks.
