It will fit in a 700 MB CD-RW, though.

It's tight, but it will fit on a CD-R (700 MB capacity). With the windows XP disk, that will be because everything is compressed; with Icaros light the main system files are ready to run so the CD can be used in 'live' mode.
Cheers, Nigel.

I just tried to install Icaros on an old PC I have that lacks a DVD drive (only CDs are supported). However, the image size for Icaros Light is 699 MB, which is to large to fit on a standard 650 MB CD-RW. Since this is only a difference of about 49 MB, could future releases be trimmed down or compressed further? In comparison, Windows XP SP3 only requires around 500 MB of CD-ROM space to install.
