@deadwood, Hi I'm using 2.1.2, based on a 2.1.1 full install then updated via LUPD.

I compiled directly in native AROS, although I did have to recompile the mikmod library in Linux hosted as the one supplied with ICAROS bizarrely did not include AHI support and building mikmod directly in native AROS crashes configure. The SDL_MIXER library included with ICAROS does not include MOD support hence the need for mikmod.

@magorium - thanks, didn't realise I could view pending uploads. Seems I didn't follow the naming convention by adding the aros-i386 suffix but hopefully that doesn't matter.

Sorry I can't help with the archivesquestion, but I can wish you welcome to the forum and the world of AROS. Yes, it's amazing how much faster hardware runs under AROS - I have a netbook which originally had Windows 7 and with it was slow, but with AROS it's a nice, nipply little machine.

Uhm, i am not particularly familiar with approval periods but, you know... it's summer time.

E.g. the time to put your feet into some white sands on a sunny beach, watching life go by with a cold beer or glass whine in your hand

What some porters do if it takes to long, is just post a message on this board (as you just did) and let us know there is something that you would like for us to be tested/checked etc.

Having grown up with Amigas (and still have an A1200 set up) I've been following AROS development on and off for a while. As I had an old XP machine that was becoming useless I decided to fully install Native AROS via ICAROS.

I have to say I'm really impressed with how good it is. Runs fast and responsive where XP was running at an unusable crawl.

I wrote some software a while ago for the GP32 and for fun started to port it to AROS. The first one I ported was my remake of Gravity Force (seemed fitting to start with a remake of a classic Amiga game), which leads me to my Archives question. I uploaded it over a week ago but it still hasn't appeared in the archives. I get that there is a manual release element but does it usually take this long? I don't want to resubmit if it is already in the system.
