VICE for AROS update
Date 2006/6/18 19:30:09 | Topic: AROS
| I have updated the AROS VICE binary archive to a usable state recently.
The main changes are to the video rendering code and the locale support, some minor bugs were fixed as well.
The new VICE binaries should work fine on both hosted and native.
The AHI code relies on a AHI sound source to be present, at the present time Kalamatee is in the process of fixing the current AHI source in AROS to use a 'void' device when no compatible sound source is present. If VICE hangs because of the lack of a sound source you can start it up by openening a cli window, going to the right directory, type the emulator name on the command line and add '-sounddev dummy' behind it (for example x64.exe -sounddev dummy).
Belial has recently released a ppc linux hosted version of AROS, using his release I have been able to 'port' VICE to that platform as well, I will be releasing that version soon.
