The bounty#11 - a new ata.device has been completed today.


The new device driver for ATA/ATAPI devices has been completely rewritten and improved.

SoX, the swiss army knife of sound file conversion utilities, has been
ported to AROS. The diffs have been checked in (contrib/audio/sox), and a
mmakefile still needs to be created to build using the AROS build system, but it compiles with a GCC cross compiler and functions under AROS. The homepage

Released VIM 6.3 for AROS. This is a straight compile of the mainline 6.3 sources, no AROS-specific improvements have been made since 6.2.532 (and the previous patches were accepted into mainline in time for the 6.3 release).

On a 68k AmigaOS system such as A1200 or WinUAE or Morphos or Cloanto or OS4 or Amithlon, cross compile programs to x86-AROS, via this gcc-3.3.1 cross compiler. Click here.

Finally, after more than a month, the video from the AROS presentation at the AmiGBG 2004 fair is available for download! For those that don't understand Swedish (or who can't hear what's said), subtitles are provided (which is one reason why it took so long to produce the video).

I released VIM 6.2.532 for AROS some days ago (but somehow forgot to post here). Grab the archives (you'll need atleast the 'rt' and 'x86' ones to run VIM) or just have a loot at the screenshot.

Biggest change since the last unofficial (only announced on the AROS Developers ML) release are big fixes to the GUI mode by Georg Steger. It works quite nicely now (atleast a lot better than console mode.

The patches have been sent upstream and accepted into the tree, so they will be included in VIM 6.3 final.

Today, AmigaShare announces that it has included additional platform support that relates to uploaded software. That is, the Software Library now allows software items to show additional emulation/VM compatibility.
