It's that time of the year again, some celebrate Festivus or Kwanza, some get to build snowmen and others throw shrimps on the barbie and surf at the beach. The Aminet team however, spend the season working for you, always trying to improve Aminet. This is what has happened since last time:

AutoDocReader a software to read developers documentation in autodoc format has been ported to AROS.

AmiGG 0.44.3 has been ported to AROS by Marcin Kielesinski. This is the first Instant Messenger program for AROS supporting two protocols popular in Poland Gadu-Gadu and Tlen. AmiGG also supports mail notifications about new mails on your mail account.

As I promised last weekend, here's the 0.2.9 release. Stability has been improved allot and you should now be able to have long drawing sessions without requiring you to reboot after use! But ofcourse, I seem to be the only betatester so if you find something I haven't been able to, then let me know!

Although this new release is a MAJOR update, it's still very far from my goals. A huge set of features was added, mainly related to styles, but unfortunately I had to disable the preference system and some classes in order to push a release (9 monthes since last release).

Aminet now features download statistics: download charts for both the current month aswell as an all time top 50 are now available at our stats page - the current leader may actually come as a surprise to most of you. Additionally, each package overview page now lists the number of downloads for the actual package (Example). All HTTP-Downloads from all of the Aminet mirrors are considered when creating the statistics.
