This is a very great news! Thank you amiga for drawing our attention to it!
Considering the license (APL as I understand it), I'd guess sTix would agree for his tool to be part of AROS. Very kind! Our current Installer in SYS:Utilities was never finished and can't really be used in its current state, as its behavior was reduced to only allow the currently associated script to show a demo of the so far limited possibilities of the tool. BTW it's a different thing than InstallAROS which, indeed, installs AROS itself

i was under impression the current installer was meant to install aros. perhaps it should be renamed to reflect that.

ill look again at putting it into ports. then everybody can build it for their target. actually i wonder if the executable shoulnt go in c: to be automatically called by installer script as default tool.

InstallerLG v0.1.0 Alpha: Commodore Installer replacement
A reimplementation of the 'Installer' utility included with AmigaOS as of version 2.1. InstallerLG aims to be fully compatible with the original as described in the V43.3 documentation.
