For your information the Motorola 68000 can address up to 16MB of ram. So like I said the other day.... Add extra RAM to the cartridge.

And stop making excesses why something can not be done.

Tsk, so quick to diss me? I wasn't talking about the FPGA arcade, but a joke bounty request to port AROS to an 80s arcade board with a m68k CPU.

If you mean AROS 68k running on FPGA Arcade as a joke then I am sorry to inform you that you just did a own goal so to say and should do some homework too

AROS 68k IS running on FPGA Arcade already (or at least was shown by Jason). It was demoed on Amiwest 2012.

Here the presentation regarding AROS on Amiwest 2012:
http://www.evillabs.net/AROS/AmiWest-2012-Presentation.pdf

the main problems were errors on the FPGA core Jason waited for to be solved (perhaps he can give a update). Indeed FPGA based Amigas are where AROS 68k makes most sense because of opensource. So please no further jokes about it.

With great ideas like this floating around, AROS is only looking better and better!

Haha, this really made my day! I was about to do something similar with an arcade board.
I understand how this must look from fatman's perspective. He comes up with all these neat ideas without doing any research or reality checks, and all he gets is criticism from naysayers. I just have a hard time feeling bad for him, because of his arrogant attitude, and unwillingness to do his homework:

Hello,

Apple LaserWriter has been one of the first laser printers ever produced, back then in 1985 it featured a wonderful Motorola 68000 chip that allowed it to operate.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaserWriter

I strongly believe that having AROS running on the LaseWriter would be mandatory for historical reasons, and a critical milestone for the OS itself: it would fix printing issues in a very revolutionary way, being put not only connected to the printer, but even inside the printer!!!

As many of you already know, I am no coder at all, so I don't know exactly how much adapting effort would mean, regarding time, documenting, redesigning and programming, but who cares? Even if nobody actually uses them, there is a 68K inside, so AROS 68K must work on it straightforward!
