It is a similar problem like Steve with icons in "OS4" style. What he did was legal but not wished by Hyperion because of their "exclusiv" strategy.

Emulating a environment is done with hundreds of systems (UAE is one example) and so I think it is legal but it is not wished by Hyperion.

I think similar as Wawa. I doubt that there is any interest from MOS-Team or Hyperion to support this idea. Expecially Hyperion has a totally different strategy with a high-price OS bundled with rare and expensive hardware. Many hardcore OS4 users would never use a PC because they prefer "not to be mainstream". They have developed not only emotions to PPC. For me difficult to understand today but I was thinking different in the "classic" time when I used my A4000. Also you see on the "G5" bounty on MOS that the MOS-Team people want to get money for porting (even when they additionally get money by the licenses). And from the MOS-User there are certainly some who would be interested but I do not know how many would really give money.

From the legal side I could imagine that emulating a hardware environment like Pegasos (without installing a OS) could be ok.

all in all, id rather ask hyperion and hardware vendors if they are fine with what you propose. you know there are some trigger happy lawyers..

i can imagine there are people seeing os4 and mos on x86, but i prefer the companies and gremiums involved make their decissions themselves, as their decissions are not neccesarily in accordance what users want. escpecially i dont see the reason to support os4. remember what happened to clusteruk initiative.

i think its because there is both mos and os4 avaliable for it .
still i would prefer not to start yet another project that would drain aros manpower. os4 and mos supporters claim they are happy with their hardware and at least im not sure if hyperion would be happy with whats been proposed here. also i hardly think aros can benefit from that except a few pieces of mos applications and a few os4 sdl ports that have not been available for aros (which exactly?).
