Hi, unluckily PoorArcX is calling a script from a C application, which means that you can't show the shell oputput of that script. So you won't get any information of the process until it's finished.

Don't forget that PoorArc is meant as a temporary replacement, until someone will write a modern, Zunified application to pack and unpack files, using multiple file formats (? la WinRAR, to be clear). The day we'll have this kind of "AROS multiarchiver" with graphical UI, PoorArc will be scraped from the distribution (as like as ConfigIP will be in the next Icaros reslease). The same happened to PoorPDF, my ancient script to show PDF files using GhostScript and a image viewer.

And, of course, you don't nedd to close the window and reopen it. You just need to choose Window > Show > All files from wanderer menu.

Hi

I like a lot the automatic unpack feature in ICAROS : double click on a file, choose the destination, and that's all. Like other modern OSes.

But one thing could be improved : we have no information on the unpacking progress. Perhaps a dialog box informing on the unpacking process should be a good idea ? (percents, or time estimation, and a window saying "unpack finished" maybe).

ANother thing annoying, when you unpack a file using this tool, the window content where you unpack doesn't refresh in realtime, so you have to close the window and open it again to see the new file in it.

It's the same problem when you drag and drop files from a drawer to another. Quite boring, and not "modern" at all, I think. I don't know if there 's a solution.
