Ya, I think the reason you can though UAE has something to do with the emulator itself running on the hostOS.
Don't know about Virtual PC, sorry.. Dave |

I do not believe that you can mount Windows drives in Aros. There isn't any Windows file system support, yet.. A FAT driver is currently being worked on, but I don't know how far along it is. When that is done we should be able to access FAT partitions. That will make it possiable to have a drive read in both Windows and Aros.
Warnder doesn't get disk change notification, again not yet... I don't have a floppy dirve but with a CD. When I am in Warnderer I just do a "warm boot" and when Warnderer comes back up it is there. That might work with floppies also. Dave |

How to mount Hard Drive under AROS

Hi,
I've just tried the last iso of AROS-Max. It rocks! I now want to access the hard drive of my machine. When using WinUAE, you can specify to mount Windows-Disk, but I can't find it in AROS. I tried to use HDTools, but the option Automount is frozen for my hard drive. So it is my question: can I mount Windows-Disk ion AROS, and how? Another thing, I put a floppy in my drive and AROS doesn't recognize it...is there any way to make it work? Thanx in advance.
