1. Amistart -> Amibridge -> Preset Loader 2. clic on "Choose a preset" 3. "Fullscreen" for a complete 68K environment or "New screen without GUI" to disable workbench/wanderer and keep only applications running. 4. clic on enable and then save. end of the story. Please notice that a) Janus works better in VESA modes than with native drivers and b) running 68K from magellan x86 requires right click on icon and then "WB Run". Or just launch them either from AROS68k or AmiStart.

Janus-UAE Problems

Just can't stay away

Greetings Arosians,
I'm having bit of trouble trying to get Janus-UAE to behave on Icaros. I've been playing with Icaros since v2 but I've never got UAE to work nicely. I finally decided it's time for a more concerted effort but so far it's not working out. I've read the relevant parts of the manual (which is excellent) and I can see that a great deal of effort has been put into creating a smooth / integrated emulation experience. I'm wondering if perhaps my efforts have stuffed things up further. Here are some of the specific issues: When booting the default "amigaos_uaerc.config" (eg from the screenmode script) I get a workbench error "Could not open version 0 or higher of library stdc.library." This also prevents the AmigaOS and Workbench links from working as the screenmode isn't set. The AROS M68K / Wanderer 68K scripts give an emulation window which is half dark grey (top) and half light grey (bottom), but that's all. By removing the hard drive folders I can get the AROS ROM boot screen. When I run a custom fullscreen config booting a 3.1 HDF I can get a PAL screen with a *very* slow mouse, but changing resolution to 1680x1050 sends the visible area somewhere off the top left hand corner of the screen (only the bottom right is then visible). The Janus GUI does not allow a HDF to be added to a config as the OK button remains greyed out. Running a basic config in a window seems to work OK, though the mouse is still very slow. My Setup: Icaros 2.1.3 with GeForce 210 native Amiga Forever installed from DVD using "Integrate Amiga Forever" script. What I would like to achieve is to have both the 68K and x86 environments running simultaneously in their own screens. Any suggestions appreciated, and apologies in advance if I don't respond quickly. PS: AROS still rocks.
