Say I decided not to get a notebook this little laptop have a vga port. Can I hook a monitor on the side and get the screen outputed to the monitor via the vga port of this laptop and adjust the screen resolution based on the monitor? Only because this 7" really hurt the eyes in the long run and lots of games have issue displaying well on such a small screen.

Resolution issue, game not scrolling well such as the boulderdash game and so on. I know the graphic chipset of this laptop is nothing more than AAA quality and it does not support 3D and high quality dvd movies crawl on it....I am happy with it if I can get the vga port working. So if the answer is yes, then I am ok with the setting :)

@xboxown

Why are you being so confrontational and defensive? I didn't disbelieve you; you gave the impression you weren't aware of the wireless section of Network prefs, since you didn't mention it. Why didn't you just say you'd found a bug in Network prefs, or did you really think it was designed to forget your networks after you select 'Save'?

Wireless networking is working fine for me here, but I copied my configuration over from my Icaros 1.5 instalation, so is there an issue in saving the settings? It might be worth manually copying the settings over from env: to envarc: when they have been set to see if that helps.

Cheers,
Nigel.

Edit: I should say I manually start wireless networking using the following script:

; $VER: AROSTCP-startnet 1.0 (01/08/06)
; AROSTCP-startnet (c) The AROS Dev Team.
;
Run <NIL: >NIL: AROSTCP
WaitForPort AROSTCP
If NOT Warn
; echo "Stack online"
Else
echo "Wait for Stack Failed"
EndIf

; stop and restart
execute "sys:system/network/AROSTCP/s/stopnet"

Run <NIL: >NIL: AROSTCP
WaitForPort AROSTCP
If NOT Warn
; echo "Stack online"
Else
echo "Wait for Stack Failed"
EndIf

run <NIL: >NIL: wirelessmanager realtek8180.device

For some reason I cannot connect to my wireless router unless I start the stack, stop it and then restart.

I could prepare you AEROS usb-stick with icaros preinstalled.
This would work on any Nvidia-powered Notebook.
