HI,

The m-7 is a i7-3775k monster : )
Mini-itx but enough room for GPU and a lot of Harddrives.
Can be a horror because AROS can only use 128GB per Partition... crazy work to split a hd. : D

If you like i can setup any linux to boot straight into emulation. Cause of performance i would suggest to use FS-uae which is also part of AEROS.

like kxlight Amigaforever. We have made a 68k version of "LX" so you can launch in theory Linux apps. Had trouble with old E_UAE and have not tested it yet under FS-UAE.

I cross my finger that Bszilli will manage to port qemu to aros. If so, we can try to get usermode emulation to work under AROS.

Usermode emulation allows to run for example ppc linux apps under x86 linux.

On AROS it could mean ppc AROS/68AROS/ARM AROS on ANY AROS. ... in theory.

Under native AROS i believe IcAROS should give the best Amiga feeling. Paolo did a lot work to make things easy.
I can also make an hosted IcAROS...

Everything is possible.

I would like to ask Olaf if he is interested in ARithlon : )
AROS68k for x86.

---------------
If you like you can send me a list of components and i build it.
You pay only HW + shipping to me
20? for building
20? for installing
and shipping to you.

Basically Mainboard/CPU/GPU/ Harddrive is all i need to set it up.

The new Ares M-7 looks mean, but my wish list is for a modern hardware computer, with small factor (you've done that with the M-7), to run AROS and its new apps, also classic Amiga apps in fully integrated fashion. I have lots of classic Amiga programs that I'd still like to use.

Gaming to me is just 50% of what I'd want to do with my computer. I'm currently using Icaros Desktop 1.5 in my Acer Aspire One with AmiBridge configured with Amiga Forever, but the integration is still unstable. Don't get me wrong, I love Icaros Desktop, and they have made an amazing job with AmiBridge, and support is incredible, but since I'm not a programmer, I'd like to own a pre-configured and as trouble free as possible system.

Does such a system exist?

You can not switch resoulutions on the fly in vesa.
You need to set them in Grub.

1280x720x24
or
1920x1080x24 for example

It's limited in a sense that fullscreen will only work with your desktop resolution.

Black/Silver without a window. I really like the design :)

Isn't choice of screen mode limited in VESA mode?
