@ilbarbax
fwiw:
azvareth is correct there.

I don't believe any of the experimental releases ever contained qemu.

As explained by azvareth, use the previous official distro and replace the .iso by the one from the experimental version.

If not mistaken, then only the dvd version contains qemu (and not the smaller cd version).

I do not think the experimental contains the q-emu

I think you have to "mix" the older version with the new experimential removing or renaiming icaros-pc-i386.iso in the old Icaros live package and copy the experimential iso to where icaros-pc-i386.iso was before and rename the experimential iso to icaros-pc-i386.iso

Just replace the iso in the std release

it may work I guess, but I am using V-Box so I can't be sure though.

Sorry for the probably silly question, but I have download the experimental version of Icaros with the intention to try it on my W$ laptop under the qemu. I do not have the dvd reader and then I opened the iso, but I can't fin how to run qmeu. The manual states that there is a batch Run(I do'n remmber what else) but I couldn't find it. Where is the step I'm obviously missing?

That is correct as it is the nature of the underlying filesystem.

Problem with being away is that you miss things . It was discussed here (at least, it is the answer from salass00 regarding this specific topic)..

I do not know if it should be here or not... But it is in the experimantial version so.

Mounted an NTFS drive, to Aros I suppose the drive is "native"

AROS inside VBox, 40GB NTFS VHD drive mounted to AROS...

When using shell to access scripts, dir, cd on that drive, one need (on my machine at least) to consider upper and lower case on folder and files otherwise AROS can't find them...

Hi Neil,
That's good news; hopefully this will filter through to v0/Icaros in due course.

Many thanks,
Nigel.

I downloaded the GrafX2 version from AROS Archives, and it works on the current Icaros WIP. I don't see any mention of AspireOS in this version. It dates from 2009.

If memory serves me correctly, the version on aros archives is the version I did for Nikolaos for AspireOS, which user "amiga" archived and uploaded. It can be distinguished from the "Compiled for AspireOS" line in the startup info window.

p.s. sorry to user "amiga" if it wasn't you, it was a while ago and it's all a bit vague.
