No doubt, if ever I start making real money again, I'd like to start making donations towards bounties and such again. I know my money is always meager (I think anything under $1,000 is, but still I liked to give where I can since I do like to tinker with this OS so much).

@ deadwood.. If you think rhat nouveau should be updated then why not start a Bounty.. if you do the work why shouldn't you get the benefit?

No, I had other things to keep me busy (AROS PaperCuts, kernel backport, Odyssey port, new 3D subsystem ABI, ABI_V0 on trunk backport just to name a few). AROS still has the most advanced 3D subsystem of all Amiga-NG systems and I think it is still pretty easy to buy a 8xxx or 9xxx card to get most of it. In time nouveau should be updated of course.

That's what I"m saying, if the port has not been updated since IcarOS 1.3 then does that who ever was managing has lost interest?

Why wouldn't it be? I was talking about the AROS port, which was not updated for years.

WOW, it's MUCH worse than I thought.

I wonder if the project is really still alive?

Icaros 1.5? I don't think so. Apart from bugfixes, I'm not aware of any updates since 2011, which is the Icaros 1.3 era.

My gf570 works fine in both 2d and 3d, so I'm happy.
Never hurts to have updated drivers, but we're doing OK for supported hardware, so there's better ways a developer could spend their time in my opinion.

Far be it for me to tell someone how to spend their time and/or money though.
