*cough* you can add "bootmenu" to the grub line to invoke it.

Keyboard.device / EBM issue

Hi,
Perhaps my ignorance, but i bumped into a bit of an issue. As described earlier by me here, i seem to be unable to get into the early bootmenu by pressing the spacebar. After a bit of a strawl, things landed me here. From line 552 and onwards, in function buttonsPressed(), i can see how the detection of pressing the spacebar is being established. I duped this code (i wanted to use it for another project), when i noticed that the filled matrix only returns zeros for me on my machine, no matter what i tried. That would certainly explain why it was not possible for me to enter the early boot menu on that particular machine. But what i do not understand is the why part. I should be able to read the keyboard-matrix this way (from a shell) ?, or not ? Are there any restrictions on what keyboards are (or can be) read this particular way ? Did i just stumbled upon a 'feature' ? In any case, this method sure does not seem to work on my machine and therefor also renders the early bootmenu unreachable for some. thanks in advance.
