ArosWorld could be an option. The site can be - as well as aros-exec.org be pointed to the new location.

If the data of this site can be rescued (through an mysql dump) then good.

Otherwise there is still the wayback machine that can be used to gather old information (in case the domain owner abandons this place).

thats a pity. sometimes i could find at least some reference in here googling for a problem i tried to understand.

Maybe www.arosworld.org can become the replacement of aros-exec.org?

afaik kalamatee opened another forum, intended for aros development. but i dont know exactly what his intentions are with it, so..

other than that as i have already advertised elsewhere there is marlons slack amigadev channel (?) or what do you people call it, which seems a pretty effective way of instant communication in order to develop aros and also contact other amiga develpers.

Hey Guys

Aros Exec in its current form is going to be shutdown in the near future, i have not set a date yet but it is going to happen.

As you all know the site has been getting worse and worse and there is nothing i can do to fix it anymore.

Please stop sending me emails/pms/hunt me down on IRC etc about this :).

The server as well as domain is in the hands of someone else that helped running this site at one point in time and who could not care less anymore it seems, he does not reply to me or anyone else that tries to get in contact with him and has not for a long time.

Now with that out of the way, i will give you guys a few options and then you can decide what happens next.

Please only pick one of these options as they are the only ones that i will consider.

Option A:

I open up AROS categories on my up and coming Amiga forum.

This can happen relatively fast as i am already working on it.

Option B:

I create a subdomain there, ae.whateverdomain.org and create a new separate Forum for AE and try to migrate some of the data if possible.

This will take more time, how much i do not know.

Option C:

I try to keep AE online until someone else can make a replacement that the community wants instead.
