I felt like turning back the clock of... well... 25+ years. Last things I did were BASIC 7.0 programs for the Commodore 128. :D

BTW, I wish to integrate in "Icaros Settings" (temporary new name, due to the fact that 100% of people who answered... agreed on that) also:

1. voices from the AmiBridge script in Prefs
2. startup sound selection

Probably, however, I will detach the AmiBridge things from this program and clone it to a new one for that. I don't like too-much-centralized settings windows (sometimes I don't get much comfortable with Dopus 5 setting manager either, for this very same reason). Only time will really say what will happen.

Another interesting development would be a graphical requestchoice command, in a nutshell a GUI which would ask the user for two or more options, but presenting images along with text. But, hey, this would be really overkill for my current knowledge.

Nah, i agree with BSzili here. services is/was confusing (if any they are deamons and in case of real object brokers they should be called a commodity)

So also an "d" from me. Perhaps maybe: Icaros Environment/Preference Settings (aka I.E.S / I.P.S.)

I've always found the name Services a bit confusing, so I vote for the trivial choice: d) "Icaros Settings".

<p>Hello, as our beloved Facebook followers (and Icaros beta testers) already know, in the last days I decided to have a look to "Services" amilua script from Yannick (basically because I needed to add some new voices to it, and I didn't want to bore Yannick anymore with my silly requests). Amazingly, I could understand what the code does and, with a braindead error-and-trial approach I could get to this point:</p><p><img alt="new GUI for Services" height="394" src="http://mirrors.lezard-visuel.com/icaros/img/200/nu_services2.jpg" title="new GUI for Services" width="310" /></p><p>As you can see, I've divided options in different panels, but now I fell the 'Services' no more suitable, since the applications also handles choice between different file managers (wanderer/magellan) and in the future should handle other environment decisions as well.</p><p>So: how would you rename it?</p><p>a) keeping "Services"</p><p>b) "Environment"</p><p>c) "Icaros"</p><p>d) "Icaros Settings"</p><p>e) specify yours...</p><p>thanks in advance for your opinions! </p>
