I am still working on updating the detection code within the ATA driver. Hopefully I will have it completed this week.
The current one hangs as it has a few bugs in the device detection scheme, for example it hangs completely if there is only a slave and no master on a chain. This is an invalid configuration but it should still not hang when it is encountered. Regards, Johan

Hello,
If you see grub, then your bootdisc (floppy or cd) works. But, if i understand you, from that, it reboots (never going as low as rebooting the computer itself). Have you tested this bootdisc on another computer yet? You have to know that in some IDE configurations AROS isn't booting (at this time). So, two solutions come to mind: 1) Test on another computer (to test the bootdisc) 2) Test with another bootdisc (to test the computer). Could you provide the date/build/milestone of your bootdisc? Have you tested the nvidia driver only or with vesa too? |

Hola!
Your English is much better than my Spanish ![]() This could be related to a problem I had a few months ago. There's a thread on amiga.org about it: http://www.amiga.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=12809&forum=27&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&start=0 I found out it was possible to trip AROS up if you have a strange hard disk configuration (e.g. multiple OS and custom bootloaders). If you're up to it, try disconnecting your hard disk drive and then booting the AROS CD, see what happens. Are you using a recent AROS build?
