Port HD-Rec!

It does not need MIDI to make music Sweeper and MacroWave are way better than Timidity. Plus it can do audio recordings (as the name suggests...)

Its been a while since I looked into it, but there is some Amiga MIDI (camd.library stuff) built for AROS, but maybe no native (soundcard joystick port type interface) drivers for PC hardware? and noone's tried or documented support or the lack therof for USB based midi devices yet?

when talking about MIDI, audio, AHI etc. I cannot emphasize enough:
WE NEED SOMETHING LIKE jackd ON LINUX! an all purpose, connect-everything-to-everything audio-server! this allows for easy network-MIDI-plugging, recording from any application to any application, plug-in anything to anything, re-use plugins with any application, etc. ...

I strongly agree!
Without a professional (low latency, redirectable, etc.) audio system, no serious musicians will use any Amiga system.

I would welcome a new audio.hidd with a bit of modern touch for Aros as well. AHI could be reworked, but still...
