Yes - and i could really do with feedback to see if it is working correctly for everyone.

ATM i havent heard from a single person who can use it even though its been on svn for some time =(

Nic has submitted to the AROS SVN an update to the arosTCP. This update to the tcp/ip stack is now allowing viarhine.device to work properly. So tonight's build, is your chance to Nic's via RhineII's driver to the test.

Great job Kal! Glad to see this one done so far.. as soon as I will find some spare money I will get me a small EPIA as AROS native box, would be a good combi with the new HTTP server and a FTP server!

Current state of play:

The driver is pretty much complete however as yet theres still something not quite right ..

It will load and run (pretty stable so far - hasnt crashed here yet) - and you can ping IP and DNS hosts, so packet's are being sent recieved/enough for dns resolution to occur (tested with hosts on my local net aswell as to access internet sites) ..

.. however at the moment App's such as AiRcOS (my IRC client), or Neils FTP port, time out trying to connect - so something is amiss in the packet handling which i dont have time to try and sniff out atm.

perhaps with a decent packet sniffing setup someone might be able to shed some light onto what is going wrong, but just now im clueless ..

if someone with such a setup would post some findings here id be happy to investigate further =)

Perhaps if you help spread the word that the VIA Rhine II bounty is now open, we would get more visits and donations. Seems folks do no realize Rhine II is VIA's 10/100 NIC.

That's my box too.

*giddy dancing*

So I don't have any money (poor student, married, living off of student loans and hope) - is there something else that I can use as a donation to such a bounty? Like maybe a Hush-PC Mini-ITX case? (the motherboard blew up and I bought a whole new box with new case). Or, help with coding? (just give me specific "assignments" or "research projects" for the chipset and I'll see what I can do). Old harrdrives?
