Possible wording:
Create a replacement for oss.library which enables sound output on Linux hosted AROS platforms via the Alsa system. If necessary adapt AHI. It must at least support 32-bit (both ABIv1 and v0) and 64-bit (ABIv1). AHI preferences must have the same options is it currently has with oss.library. ----------------------- Another question came up: what if there is more than one sound card in the system? Should it be selectable by AHI prefs?

Hi,
because some Linux distributions like openSuse and Ubuntu don't support sound by OSS anymore I'm thinking about creating a Bounty. I need some information before I can do the wording: Is "Alsa" support the right feature? Are there any important Linux distros which support only OSS? What about Raspberry Pi?
