Amistart since very long ago is an AppWindow, and Multiview and More are AppWindow too since recently. So workbench.library and Wanderer for sure are ready on that matter. But indeed, AppIcon and AppMenu are not implemented by Wanderer, which doesn't mean they're not handled by workbench.library (but that remains to be verified). Won't it be as easy to implement MUIA_AppMessage handling into Zune as to build a normal AppWindow application?

Everyone knew it was impossible. Along came a fool who did not know and he did it.

Definitely agree with Deadwood on this one.
I use Morphos on a daily basis, but I LIKE the fact that Aros is different and has its own "personality". Also, the fellows who have worked/are working on Wanderer deserve some consideration - if it wasnt for them we would all be using a shell right now instead of discussing possible themes for the next Icaros distro. :) Not that I have anything against using a shell... :)

Surely that would be a better solution?

@fred
I understand your points but developers do this for fun, and hence they do things that entertain them. Not many coders enjoy the work that is needed.

In my opinion improving and giving that "extra love" to Wanderer would be great to polish up the AROS users experience even though I understand that it requires quite a bit of effort. In my "wettest" AROS dreams I usually see comfortable customizable interfaces a-la DOpus Magellan or better...
I know that we're in a "no schedule and rocking" government but I also believe that we should prioritize the developers base at some point. Obviously a lot can be done with bounties but I wonder if that is enough. Whatever you feel the right answer should be there are some questions that might come handy from time to time: . User-experience or Under the hood improvements? . Bug fixing or New features? I'd love to see all those four together for a killer OS, but I know it requires way too many resources for us ATM. So back to my first question: how to prioritize, plan and focus developement? My 2 cents, :) Federico

Maybe a port of Zune to Linux or windows could be beneficial.
