How about a hosted version? Hosted has tap.device for online. The benefit would be sound support and speed.
Would it be possible to use ubuntus package manager? That would be really cool

It's time to announce that a new beta of VmwAROS is almost ready to be released: please read here.
This will not be a "contents" release, but a "mantainance" one, which will have updated system files and utilities, bugfixes and revisions, and more or less the same programs installed in beta 0.5. VmwAROS beta 0.6 should be available in the next couple of days. Regards,
