I don't think the bounty description should list which tools need to be ported at all. The bounty is for selfcompilation, by whichever means that's obtained.

That is true as for now, including tools like GAWK, Bison, Flex, Autoconf, Automake might not be needed, but taking the way by updating our shell (or atleast porting abc-shell) and adding signalling+pthreads would make it future-safe IMO. ..and would bring us features needed anyway.

wanted to spend some bucks to that bounty, but the PayPal link on thenostromo.com is broken. Can you please post the current paypal adress.

PayPal button next to the bounty on the main TeamAROS pages appears to be working. Where in the process does it die for you?

Dammy,

I don't think the bounty description should list which tools need to be ported at all. The bounty is for selfcompilation, by whichever means that's obtained.

This bounty indeed needs a better description to be gathered!

..ehm Darren wasn?t it you who had a look on what is needed for native self compiling? I think it shall be something arout those:

- signalling
- pthreads
- bourne-compatible shell (abc-shell)
- configure
- GAWK, Bison, Flex, Autoconf, Automake

The Self Compile Bounty looks like it needs a better description. Exactly what native tools are needed to allow AROS to do self compiles (on a native box using native GCC)?
