Well yes and no,

intuition doesnt really have the means to do all the laying out by itself imo, Zune does.

perhaps just for the window borders just intuition would be great, but why cant it be the whole GUI look AND feel.

Being more or less the Intuition guy here, I would know how to do it. It's not difficult. If I were not so terribly lazy ...

I would also like to expand the file ".info" format to catter for a case where there is no ion data in the file itslf, and just a string path to another ".info" file under THEME:..... to use instead, so certain icons would have a similar themeability.

My thoughts on theaming where along these lines ...

A "Theme" would consist of a set of base Zune prefs files, so that by changing theme you would be just changing a bunch of zune prefs (though it would be transparent to the user other than selecting a THEME)

Zune Prefs could be altered to have a single page by default with a preview of the theme and the available choices under or whatever, and a customise option, which would essentially open the old style zune prefs interface.

This would mean the theaming would cover everything done by zune, and any new classes can easily be also included by adding their prefs to the "theme" dir.

for it to work we would have to standardise the zune prefs in such a way as the "prefs" engine could apply the new settings easily.

Developers i would assume ;)

no one really said much about "how" when i was playing with my engine - except dlc (the main author of Zune) who tried to explain some of the hurdles of using zune for it *sigh*
