If you're on Windows, try xNews. That's a good newsreader as well.

I tried with NewsRover (several times), but only managed to get part 1 of 43 or so

I'll just keep trying from the website, sooner or later I'll get more than 4Kbps ... once I have it I'll upload it to at least one place as a mirror ...

If anyone else in the UK has it I'd love a copy on CD (costs covered, naturally)

For Linux or Windows, Pan is a great newreader. When AROS gets TCP, Pan should be ported along with FireFox and Thunderbird. That covers a big chunk of networking: usenet, browsing, and email.

Any idea when it could be mirrored? trying directly it's currently coming up at 1.9Kbps, which makes for a 39 hour download ...

Either way it would be nice if I had in time for midday Saturday, so I have more to show off!

Well, I'm still seeding it in bittorrent (and so are a few others). I tried posting it to a cd newsgroup, but it wouldn't for some reason. Weird... I can post to anime and manga groups, but not to the cd group. I'm still trying to figure it out. I'll reply here when I do get it posted.

EDIT: I just posted AROS MAX to alt.binaries.cd.images for anyone who prefers to download via usenet. I also posted 30% redundancy of PAR2 files.

2- nicja, isnt your icon multiline function working? (to break long names in more than one line)

yes and no lol

it worked till i reorganised some code to speed it up a bit, but i broke the layout in the process *doh*

shouldnt be a great effort to refix it though if i can find time and get aros to compile ;P

excellent news!

Well done guys! Well done Coolcat29!

I believe this deserves a mention as a news item -along with some details as to what is included and functionality has been added (e.g. sound enabled for X app...)

now if only someone would write the TCP stack...
