Any chances of a new ISO with the new ata.device enabled by default? Getting a few more native systems testing it may help speed up getting it set by default in the nightly builds. ;)

Hey CoolCat,
AROS MAX? =o) It's nice for now, but we need to create a new name for this... I will suggest "AROS Advanced" or "AROS Xpert". Well, i like the AROS MAX title, but... it's not an original idea. However, we can use the same structure of Debian versions - Stable, Production, Beta and the Custom categories. In the future, all is the same system (I think so). I've burned some CDs and send to a lot of users to see your version... the AHI startup sound make some users afraid, but the nice demos added on this compilation looks like magic on a children's party... I've tryed to download the PPC version of AROS, but the file is no longer available... you know a valid link? (or anyone know?) I'm just a clown... but, my avatar show's my XPerience with PC on the last months...

well, i dont think is that much...but, ok.
i will try to put it on the bloodline page (as soon as he appears) there is allready some work on a linux-ppc port, that i think is the best startpoint for a native-ppc port. regard, PS: i think grub shoud be the loader...but i dont know much of ppc...just a thought! |

WOW, now I have downloaded and tested it... it's a great job! The AROS Team need to update AROS.ORG and put it into the download area! Since 2002, wen I've downloaded AROS firt time, it's the most wonderful update on the project... Great job, CoolCat... This make me think: "AROS is alive!" I'll use your updates / sources / gifts on my personal quest: port AROS to PPC (firts with a Linux loader, and after nativelly boot)... Sorry for my bad/worst english

very thanks for your words, it really motivates, i was not aiming heavy users like you, so it´s double motivating...i hope i can better it using the users feedback (like the ones you gave me, it´s allready on the TODO) =o) |
