Well, the Midway classics on the XBox should provide plenty of entertainment for kids - especially stuff like Rampage!

If you bring a GC, a TV to go with it would be a good idea . My lad also has one, so some multiplayer might be in order! (he's very competitive though ...).

If we come, we'll be on the train as I don't drive. I don't fancy carrying a telly along with my laptop and a gamecube!

You could argue that the Mac Mini is a console. It's basically the same as the GameCube, but more powerful. It's pretty small too. Just add a USB joystick and you're all set.

I know there are several GC emus in progress. Look for someone to sell Mac Mini's bundled with a GC emu in the near future. :rasta:

My laptop is loaded up with emulators for Amiga,SNES,Megadrive,N64,PSX,MAME.Raine,Zinc and a few others for my 6 yr old son to play with on long train journeys between his mums and my house.

Thank the lord for these genious emulator coders!

If my boy wants to come along, then I'll bring his Gamecube too.

The only PowerPC console to date.

Just a quick note to say this is now confirmed for the 2nd of April! (Nicholas, are you out there? )

I'm here!

It's my missus' birthday on 1st April and that weekend is the weekend I have my son stay with me (Every 2nd weekend for the last 5 years of his life).

I MIGHT be able to get there, but it all depends on circumstances.

I can probably take the missus out on her actual birthday (Friday), so that would get me off the hook for that, but if my son doesn't want to travel to sunny scunthorpe with me that will put the kibosh on it.

Leave it with me. Can it not be held the week after?

Darren (aka Ryu on the Amiga boards) is trying to put together an informal party/show for all things Amiga in Scunny, in the East Midlands of the UK.

If he manages to work it all out I'll be there with the AROS tower of power running all the latest stuff, he'll have his A1200 PPC running OS4, and there will no doubt be some Amiga A1s and maybe even the odd Pegasos to have a play with.

We'll also have an XBox network set up for some network gaming, and there will be a bar on tap (pun intended ).

If you're interested please vote here!

BTW this is the tower of power seen at the last Big Bash Amiga show (the next one is in September, in Peterborough, UK)
