Indeed, and we have the rolling energy of opensource behind us, once started it might begin slowly but it rolls on constantly and gains speed. Remember Linux.

All you need is some creative energy and some commits (SVN)..

I'm very amiga nostalgic too, I've just found an old amiga italian tv advertising that I've been searching for years.

I think that all of us have nostalgia, but we must not lose the goal: to have a new Amiga platform!!!

Your point is totally obvious to me at least - nostalgia is a funny thing - mystical almost. AROS does bring back memories - I guess this is what drives all of us nutters here anyway.

I bought an A600 in 1992, and sold it again in the late 90's. I'm currently running a shiny new iMac - but I'm running Ubuntu instead of OS X as my sole OS.

I had looked at AROS a couple of years ago, and it seems like the most beautiful OS ever. I had problems installing it native, mucked around a bit with it hosted on Slackware, and then went back to Windows. Oh well, poop happens.

I have a fondness for Amigas, and AROS to some extent, and it brings back memories when I was student (MSc, then PhD student, in late 20's) and life was carefree and innocent.

I've been rummaging through my archives, trying to put them in some kind of order. I've collected a lot of detritus over the years. One thing I cam across is an animation of a dog in a circus that I did in late 1993 using Deluxe Paint. I can't actually view it on Ubuntu (multishow didn't animate it :( ) - although maybe I could get it to work if I put in more effort.

My animation is complete rubbish, but what the hell, I decided to upload it to aminet just now, anyway. Hopefully it will appear soon. It's amazing to see that, absolutely years after the Amiga is dead, people are still contributing to it.

Well, I guess this posting doesn't really have a "point", other than to say that the Amiga and AROS brings up happy memories of days gone by. Thanks for listening, anyway.
