 A basic A1200 can be used for playing classic games, I have one and it's great fun. If you spend alot of money upgrading an A1200 you can have quite a spectacular system, however this would cost alot, and isn't recommended to anyone who isn't an out and out classic Amiga fan. For AROS a nice basic PC can be bought for under £200, and if you build it yourself you can choose hardware that will work well with it. You'll also then have the option of using Linux and Windows as well, with either using an emulator to play classic Amiga games is quite easy.

Someone asked me to look into the 68K version and I DO have my A1200 still set up. Don't expect it real soon though. I have a lot of things on my AROS to-do list.

No there is currently NO up 2 date AROS version for 68k Amigas.

Hi,
Vesalia.de has some new A1200 computers. If I buy one of these, will I then be able to install AROS on it? If so, will I then be alble to run most/all native AmigaOS programs from AROS? /Thanks Peter
