Well as it happens I got a fairly good deal on the Intel board so in theory that should keep things simple, may yet pick up an Ion based board in the new year as well.
I'm a pc technician as it happens and get a fair number of requests to build small pc's for friends/family, so on that front I'm interested in Ion or better for blu ray support and windows gaming etc - running Aros is just a side benefit for myself :)
Going to have a wander round my local PC shops (Glasgow) to see if I can find some better small cases than those I've seen online so far - I'll report back on anything interesting I find.

Can you send me the link to the specs of the board you have purchased so I can see what chipset it is using.

For Aros, this ION board is no faster than the Intel boards that are in the base iMica. Plus we have drivers being worked on for this Intel board. I have one here and have done lots of tests and will not be using it, will use the skt775 versions.

Feel free to get the ION as later they should get Gallium support but then so should Intel.

Honest opinion, for now forget the ION unless you are adding a SKT775 faster chip. ION and Atom waste of time for Aros.

Nvidia Ion based board

Hi,new poster here , but been lurking awhile :)
Been thinking of treating myself to an Imica of sorts this xmas - but as the Intel boards are getting a little rarer and the new Nvidia boards seem to have a bit more oomph was thinking of maybe trying eitherhttp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-364-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1436 orhttp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-002-ZT&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1436 Would love to hear any thoughts from the regular board members - anyone tried Aros on these or similar yet ?
I will have it set up to duel boot Windows 7 and a Linux distro (as yet undecided)- would quite like to have Aros in there as well.
So thought s anyone ?
