Hey guys i was searching the web for AresOne just to now if there a interesting discussions and i found this:
http://www.vesalia.de/d_aresone.htm : ) Viva la revoluci?n! They are fast. Vesalia is well known and they are the right guys for shipping them worldwide since they have many years of experience. Regards, Pascal This could be the right time for AROS to fill the hole Amithlon has left.

I haven't used recent Ubuntu versions, but in an older version I do use, a new entry is added to grub.cfg each time an updated Linux kernel is installed. So you eventually end up with a lot of different Ubuntu entries in your GRUB menu, one for each kernel. If AROS controls GRUB however, these new entries won't be visible. It probably won't break anything, but it means you won't be using the latest updated Linux kernel.
If Ubuntu controls GRUB, you'll have the opposite problem instead: updated AROS kernels will have to be manually copied to the Ubuntu boot partition. So both approaches work, but have the advantages and disadvantages mentioned above.

Linux can not read SFS. When I had ubuntu and aros on same hdd (dual boot), I never had problems with Ubuntu changing config.. The only trouble I had was when I wanted to update AROS kernel I had to do that inside ubuntu.

This also a way but a second HD costs money. I like to have the choice via Grub-Menu more than to get through te bios. Its quick easy and you don't play with Bios-settings - sure most of us know what they are doing.
When exactly does Ubuntu a change in configuration? Did this happen to someone before? I didn`t try it yet, but is it possible to get access from Linux to the AROS-filesystem? If yes i could create a script for updating grub.cfg.

Store looks nice... On dual booting I think the easiest way to do this and avoid any boot problems is simply to put each os on its on hard drive. Put the os you plan to use most on the first drive, second most on second and so on.
To change what you boot to, just go to the bios and change the boot order. Its fast to switch these options on most computers. No grub, no lilo, no problems... I have Aros, Amiga forever kxlight fully hard drive installed os3.9, linux and windows xp on my aros computer... Each is on their own hard drive. It was a bit of fun getting everything working on each os on the same pc, but worth it I think... I have no cd-rom burner but I really don't need one on this pc because I can copy anything I want through my home network to another pc. I have to say this pc sees much more use than my windows only computer, thats for sure. Steven

Neil:
My guide had some errors ;) sorry, long time since I did this. What I rem.. was that I installed AROS first, then ubuntu. When I update aros.kernel I would have to do that in Ubuntu. When I updated system files in AROS, I had to be sure to click not install bootloader.
