If I understood correctly, USB pendrive is mounted in aros (virtualbox) not in linux.
So why do you need SFS support in linux? What is the error during partitioning?

OK, I must use raw pendrive. I was trying with SFS partition, but it look like fdisk type 42 SFS is not Amiga SFS.
I try with a raw pendrive. It failed too (disk full). fdisk (and gparted) show me 2 partitions, sdj1 extended, and sdj5 unknow. But I can format it. It take a while, so I will try again later with InstallAros.

If the partition has PenDrive Window, try to eliminate them, use Gparted and delete partitions, you must use raw pendrive

I try to install Icaros on an USB pendrive using virtualbox on gentoo. The USB is working, but the installation fail to partition this drive and abort.
It look like it is no kernel support for ASFS on linux. I find this : asfs.txt. This is a kernel patch for ASFS support on linux, but the latest version is for 2.6.20 and my current kernel is 3.3.0. It was a liitle bit tricky, but I succeded to patch this kernel and to configure it, but it failed to compile. Do you know if it is some updated version of this patch somewhere? In the maintime, I guess than my only solution is to make an Icaros dvd and pursue the installation from that media.
