Hi,
I tested it now under VMWare 5.5. It worked fine there. So I think V 0.5 Beta has an issue with VMWare 5.0... No problem for me, just wondered why... regards Manuel

There isn't any physical change in Virtual Machines, between VmwAROS 0.1 and 0.5, so anything able to run 0.1 must open 0.5 too. However, VmwAROS is tailored to VMware Workstation 5 and above, so anything capable of running this kind of VMs should run VmwAROS flawlessly.

Thank you keen,
it booted with VMWAros Ver. 0.1 beta so I thought it should also do it with 0.5 beta. I'll give the player also a try tomorrow, but I guess it will work then. It's interesting that it worked with VMWAROS 0.1, isnt it? Manu

VMware Server 1.0.3 44356b works here. oldest VMware WS I have is 5.5. I remember I had problems with 5.0 - created VMs asn`t functioning...but anyway not the case
TheCyberCore - you can try with the VmWare Player to be sure

Hi paolone,
i downloaded 0.5 beta, started it and it hangs on loading grub some minutes. After that VM is powered down automatically. I have VMWare Ver. 5.0.0 build 13124. I saw you are probably using version=6.0.0 build=build-45731 in the VMWare logs. Do you have minimum requirements on VMWare versions?? Manu
