If you go to the screenshots section on aros-exec, then you see that someone has been plastering tons of repetetive spam-texts under many AROS related screenshots. This is horrible sad for such a nice project...

I originally did wonder about that, but it leads to all sorts of special cases that need to be checked for- going from one hour to the other, from one day to the next at midnight, etc. So it was going to get messy, but then Neil fixed the issue with the FAT handler. Odd though, as he mentions above that the one in the most recent builds is working, that it seems to have resurfaced. Is it worth trying the process with some other FAT formatted drives to see if the same error occurs?

Well, since i'm unable to comment on the archives, i report here just in case it would otherwise be forgotten:

cross binutils mingw32 to arm -> arm-aros-ld:
unrecognised emulation mode: armelf_aros
Supported emulations: armelf_linux_eabi armelfb_linux_eabi.

I had to create my own (cross) binutils in order to get this to work.

armelf_aros is emulation mode 5 iirc.

Yes, there are moderators. in fact you can see those for yourself when looking at forum view.

Don't worry, spam gets deleted, it is just that there isn't always someone around to remove things within 2 seconds (sometimes it takes a day or couple of days).

It's far less spam than we used to get, and i've seen that admin has taken some measures. Unfortunately it does not seem to work 100% foolproof.

I've added a tongue-in-cheek one, mainly because I was more inclined to remove the feature all together rather than really reviving it, because to me polls seem a bit silly. But if people really care for it, surely I can create polls once in a while.
